Bingle a no show at Aston Martin case

17 Mar, 2010 09:26 AM
Lara Bingle was a no-show at court this morning as a 15-year-old boy faced charges in connection with her Aston Martin.

The offender - who cannot be named for legal reasons - pleaded guilty in the Bidura Children's Court to entering Australian cricket team vice-captain Michael Clarke's exclusive block in Bondi and destroying or damaging property.

The youth is also accused of entering the ground floor of a Maroubra dwelling while the occupants were upstairs. Police allege they found fingerprints of the teen inside the premises. He has not pleaded on that charge yet.

Clarke is in New Zealand preparing for the Test match, which starts on Friday.

Charges over the theft of Bingle's car have been dropped.

An application for bail was made but was rejected "with regret" by the court.

The boy will reappear on April 27 following the preparation of a Juvenile Justice report.
