ON SATURDAY, December 10, the Dumbleyung Club hosted its annual Junior Tennis Tournament in ideal conditions on the lawn tennis courts, which have enjoyed the unusually wet summer and expert care of our greenkeeper Dave Wall.
The club thanked the tournament’s sponsors, Clem Henry Shearing Services and Sunsmart/Healtyways, who provided vital sponsorship to fund the tournament trophies and running costs.
Fifty-four junior players attended from many surrounding towns and tennis clubs, including Dumbleyung, Lake Grace, Tarin Rock, Kukerin, Dudinin, Wickepin, Williams, Wagin and Narrogin.
The standard of tennis was very high and it was a treat to watch some extremely competitive tennis.
Well done and thanks to the Dumbleyung Tennis Club members and parents on running another successful tournament.
Everyone's assistance with setting up, lunches and food, umpiring, and tidying up is essential and much appreciated.

The final club activity prior to Christmas is social tennis on this Friday, December 16.
So any players and juniors feeling like a bit of a social hit come along anytime from 4pm.

Juniors are very welcome but do need to be under the care of an adult.
