Kukerin Bowling Club news

08 Feb, 2012 11:36 AM
LAST Saturday Kukerin travelled to Karlgarin for their pennant game and, after an intense struggle, each team won on two rinks.

However, Karlgarin were able to win the aggregate by the narrow margin of five shots resulting in a 2-6 loss to Kukerin.

This Saturday Kukerin will travel to Kondinin and teams selected are as follows (skips named first) P. Davidson, R. Ditchburn, P. King and D. Smith; C. Bahr, T. Murphy, T. King and G. Taylor; P. Adams, G. Smith, Jeremy Joyce and J. Adams; and M. King, B. Davidson, Jenny Joyce and G. Eynon.

There will be pennant practice from 4pm on Friday for those available.

The club hopes to see a few people there as it is now the crunch part of the season and the team is currently in equal fourth place so a big effort is needed to take part in the finals.

Next Sunday's competition will be advised by the captain at pennants on Saturday.

Keep in mind that the club championship singles will be contested over the weekends of February 19 and 26.

The club wished Beverley Davidson good bowling at the ladies’ inter-league round robin carnival at Gnowangerup this week.
