ON Saturday Wagin played host to Pumphreys Tennis Club in their weekend pennant fixture.
After some tight fought matches Wagin were defeated.
Social tennis on Friday nights continues to be enjoyed by an enthusiastic group, but new players are welcome.
Anyone interested in some fun and exercise should come along from 6pm.
There are just two more coaching days left for the juniors, with coaching finishing on Monday, November 9.
All the juniors are now looking forward to putting what they have learned to practise at the junior tournament on Saturday.
All members are asked to please supply a plate of sweets for afternoon tea and help out where they are able.
A reminder that subs are due by Friday when the draw will be done for the Palace Hotel prizes.
Friday is also the night entries need to be in for the singles championship by 6pm with play to start soon after.
Entries can be made to Terri Spooner or Wade Longmuir.
The mixed doubles championship will be played on Friday, November 13 and the doubles on Friday, November 20 not November 15 as in the fixtures.
A ladies’ open day doubles competition will be held on Wednesday, November 18 so find a partner and enter for a day of fun.
