THE Wagin Bowling Club’s first division continued its dominance in the Great Southern Bowling League with a 111 to 37 aggregate victory over Moodiarrup at home.
Wagin took six points to Moodiarrup’s zero to retain first place.
The current standings for first division in the Great Southern are Wagin 22 points, Moodiarrup 15, Kojonup 14, Katanning 6.5 and Dumbleyung 2.5.
Second division Wagin White won a thriller at home defeating the undefeated Kojonup White side, four points to zero.
Second division Wagin Black lost one point to three against Kojonup Green.
The current standings for second division in the Great Southern are Kojonup White 12 points, Kojonup Green 11 points, Wagin White 10 points, Darkan, Kojonup Gold and Wagin Black all on 9 points and Katanning on 0.
Results for the Wagin men’s championships fours were: winners W Holt, K Preston, B Stephens, W Kaplin; runners up were S Trowl, R Hunt, N Broom, C Lowrie.
The results for the men’s championships triples were winners: S Trowl, W Holt, R Hunt and runners up R Matters, M Deworboies and W Kaplin.
Trowl’s rink has won this three years in a row.
The men’s championship fours are to be played at Wagin this Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22.
A reminder for bowlers to sign up for the President’s Day on Sunday, November 29 and for the mixed pairs championship to be held on Sunday, December 13.
