LAST Saturday the Mounted Games Association of WA hosted a pairs competition at the Wagin Riding and Pony Club grounds.
Dan Foster, who competed for Australia at the national championships in England last year, ran a very well organised day of fun and competition.
Mounted games is a sport of speed, skill and agility for riders of all ages and riding abilities.
A typical race may involve dismounting and vaulting back onto your horse at a gallop.
With Forster’s guidance all riders had a go at vaulting onto their very obliging horses, with determination and lots of laughs.
Equestrian mounted games is often considered the world's most exciting equestrian spectator sport.
With riders from Wagin and the surrounding districts interest in the sport of mounted games the MGA competitions will soon be a regular event on many thrill seeking riders' calendars.
