Wagin Playgroup set for a bumper year

01 Feb, 2012 12:31 PM
WAGIN Playgroup will open its doors again on February 7, starting a new year of exciting activities for children and parents alike.

Playgroup is a strong vibrant group ensuring the needs of pre-school aged children and their parents in Wagin are supported.

This year sees the playgroup running four sessions, as numbers are booming and this shows no sign of stopping.

Open sessions run on both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30-11.30am, a baby playgroup for ages 0-18 months will run on Thursdays from 11.30am and a new three-year-old playgroup will run on Wednesdays from 9.30-11.30am.

Not only do children have the opportunity to learn through play and develop a number of skills, but parents have the opportunity to share, form friendships and cement their role as first educators.

This year also sees the introduction of the playgroup’s new three-year-old program designed as a slightly more structured session to introduce the three-year-olds to concepts that they will encounter at kindergarten next year.

The playgroup welcomes back all returning members and would love to see some new faces this year.

All playgroup sessions are held at the Eric Farrow Pavilion at the Showgrounds.
