Wagin hosts another successful sheep show

11 Mar, 2010 02:48 PM
WAGIN Woolorama is the home of the State Sheep Show and this year it was another successful event.

One of the highlights of Woolorama, the State Sheep Show provides entrants the opportunity to showcase the best of their animals in the many competition sections.

Most of the breeders strive to attain the H Biggin memorial trophy, which was this year won by East Strathglen for a group of two rams and two ewes.

Another highly prized award was the Woolorama Cup, sponsored by Wagin Argus, for a group of four merino rams of any age and any wool count.

This year it was won by Quailerup West.

The TR Murdoch Cup, sponsored by the Wagin Argus, was won by Willemenup for a group of four poll merino rams.

East Stathglen won the Landmark trophy for a group of three ewes.

The Merino Pair of the Year, the Countryman cup was won by East Strathglen.

Other award winners in classes six to fifty nine, were sponsored by Norbrook Laboritories.
