Wagin Aero Club welcomes potential new pilots

01 Sep, 2010 01:50 PM
A SUCCESSFUL instruction day was held by Wagin Aero Club in conjunction with Great Southern Aviation at Wagin Air Strip on Saturday, August 28.

The training day enabled potential new pilots to take to the air for a lesson in flying, in some cases for the first time, with Great Southern Aviation instructor Julie Bisser.

Wagin Aero Club would like to see more members join and experience the joy of flight, either by becoming a pilot or in a social capacity to fly with a qualified pilot.

The club owns and maintains its own plane that can be used by members for flights.

The clubhouse, which is part of the new building at the airstrip, has a memorabilia collection which is taking shape with photographs and historical notes on both current and historical achievements of pilots from the region.
