Vandalism at Wagin home

04 Mar, 2010 02:09 PM
STRANGE activities took places at the Lane household in Wagin on Sunday night.

Geoff Lane woke to find a good portion of their garden ornaments had been piled up outside the front door.

Pot plants, statues and other garden figurines were left piled up at the front door.

Other items like a bird bath were found broken and strewn all over the area.

Geoff and Lee Lane are understandably upset by these actions and immediately started the process of cleaning up the mess left behind.

Mrs Lane was very concerned when she couldn’t even get out of her front door to take a look at the damage that

was done.

“This type of thing just makes you feel numb, the Wagin Police officer Constable Beard was very calming and assured us that he will do his best to catch the person responsible,” she said.

“This damage and shifting of things would have taken whoever was responsible a very long time and we didn’t hear a thing.

“There are a lot of bad things going on at the moment and we don’t know what we have done to deserve this – we are kind and courteous to everyone.”

Wagin Police would like to know more information about this incident.

People with any information, no matter how small it may be, are urged to call the Wagin Police Station on 9861 1211.
