Stolen car crashes into tree

11 Mar, 2010 02:41 PM
POLICE were patrolling the streets of Wagin on Saturday night when they saw a vehicle allegedly speed away and head into bushland off Sawle Street.

Wagin Police officers followed as far as they could, however their pursuit of the vehicle was hampered by dust and thick bushland.

The driver has crashed into a tree.

A male adult was charged with theft of a vehicle, no authority to drive a vehicle and driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol reading in excess of 0.08.

The man will appear in the Katanning Magistrate's Court on March 25.
