18 Aug, 2010 11:17 AM
SHAUN Leo graduated from the WA Police Academy on Friday, August 6 and now bears the title Constable Leo.

Constable Leo is originally from Kukerin but has been living in Kalgoorlie for the past seven years with wife Melinda and children Hannah, Tom and Weston.

Constable Leo has attended the WA Police Academy in Joondalup for the past six months.

He won the operational safety and tactics training award for his squad.

This award recognises the officer who attains the highest degree of proficiency in all aspects of the tactical training module.

His course ran for 28 weeks and started on January 26.

All together 58 officers graduated, in which there were 39 men and 19 women.

They were split into two squads – blue and gold – with Constable Leo in blue.

It was a proud moment for all of his family, who were there to witness the special occasion.

Constable Leo will return to Kalgoorlie to work as a police officer.
