Kukerin students help clean up

17 Mar, 2011 04:00 AM
LAST Friday Kukerin Primary School students participated in Clean Up Australia Day.

Equipped with lots of rubbish bags, four enthusiastic teams ranging from pre-primary to year 7 ventured out to find as much litter as possible.

They collected litter from road verges, the camping ground and sports oval.

When they returned to school they weighed their treasure.

Altogether they collected more than 100 kilograms of rubbish, which is a fantastic effort.

Students were again amazed at the variety of litter found.

Thank you to Greg Chamberlain for carting the rubbish to the tip.
